That’s my cue. With absolutely no options-I just had to-I proudly proclaimed:

“Salt and Pepa’s here! And we’re in effect

in a hot party show!!!”

I pointed to her: Library Silence. While I sat back, arms crossed in my best B-Boy Stance.

Sigh. True friendship is taking it, singing the next verse of a popular late 80s dance anthem.
