Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much

Notes & Quotes
Page 7: “Scarcity captures the mind…The mind orients automatically, powerfully, toward unfulfilled needs…Scarcity is more than just the displeasure of having very little. It changes how we think. It imposes itself on our minds.”

Page 11: “The feeling of scarcity is distinct from its physical reality.”

Scarcity is solid. It’s obvious conclusions but it’s great because it provides an easy handle to to discuss these complex topics. I’m always on the hunt for analogies and metaphors to deepen understanding and share inisghts.

Gladwell spoiled us…I find he draws like 3 or 4 conclusions from an experiment to establish his theories, these guys kinda come up with 1 with idea out of 1 experiment. Way it goes right? Somebody has to be The Gold Standard.
