Got caught “stealing” chocolate Easter eggs from a child’s massive stash by the 6 year old child and her 3 year old brother.

“MOM!!! Uncle Sammy is taking OUR Easter eggs!!!”

And so for the first time in my life I accurately said: “And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids.”

And yet…this experience has flooded me with new empathy for every Scooby Doo villain…were they truly that evil?

Something to contemplate tonight as I munch on the chocolate Easter eggs I stole from small children.
