Burning Bush Privilege

Overwhelming. That’s my life lately.

This winter is not helping, my strength just gets sapped so quickly.

Have been thinking about Bono’s literary insight writing One.

He wrote we get to carry each other, not, as many people expect from Bono, we SHOULD carry each other or worse we HAVE TO carry each other.

We get to…it’s a privilege. It’s also an opportunity, one we can walk away from (and often do). I’ve walked away from more people in need than I’ve helped.

Still I like that idea of identifying your own burning bush. Of seeing it. I mean when the Bat Light illuminates Gotham City’s dark night Superman doesn’t show up. Flash doesn’t race by. That light, that opportunity is for Batman but only if he sees it and chooses to respond. That’s a cool insight.

We really do need to (re)claim the obvious. It’s what Malcolm Gladwell does so well.

Keep going. Winter be damned.
