Catching up today with an ex-nerd.

What’s funny is, even though he’s not as active in the nerd world (our nerd world?) all the time spent there means he totally understands everything that’s going on these days.

He gets all the jokes, he knows all the characters. It’s like living in NYC for a couple of years and moving away. You still know…NYC you know?

It’s so crazy from the time he and I went to conventions to how big the movies have gotten. Back in our day we had the craptacular Hulk TV show and a terrible Punisher movie. It’s nutty nuts.

Oh this week…I started re-watching Quantum Leap. He laughed. Honestly to people like him who’ve known me for years, it’s like my life never progresses. It’s dated but decent.

And I’m reading one series right now; so good…all classic. DC vs Masters of the Universe. That’s right…Superman vs He-Man. In the second issue He-Man took out Superman…as they brawled in the Batcave. You know how much that mentally messes you up to see He-Man in the Batcave?!

Man following that conversation and the topics we got into…we really are the out of place nerds in 21 Jump Street.

If I was going to high school now, I’d be killin it.
