Every movie trailer answers or challenges those 2 questions. The ham-fisted rebuttal comes swiftly however: no you don’t need to always see a movie to know it’s tank.

Do you really need to sit through a Michael Bay Transformers movie to know for sure? Tank is Tank. And Fresh…well Fresh is always Fresh. I’m down like I’m Brown for that.

The Morning Show (August 12)
Apple TV’s latest “Amazing Story” is The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston who is not a Friend of mine: her track record speaks and smells loudly. It remains to be seen if this’ll be half as good as Sorkin’s Newsroom.

Sammy Verdict: Maybe down the road?!

Dolomite Is My Name (August 12)
Eddie Murphy “don’t call it a comeback, I been here for years” returns with Netflix’s Dolomite Is My Name.

Sammy Verdict: I’m In…I can sit through this.

The Kill Team (August 14)
Not a fan of these “cover up war crimes!” movies. I barely made it to the end of Three Kings. So this ain’t made for me. S’fine there’s lots out for there that is made for me!

Sammy Verdict: As much as I dig ruckus and action and violence…I prefer John Wick ridiculousness than “war.”

10 Minutes Gone (August 14)
By the glare of the Joker’s yellow teeth…this Bruce Willis trailer is awful! Yes I said the trailer is awful…it’s more dated than Taylor Swift. 10 Minutes Gone doesn’t seem much better.

Sammy Verdict: Good Gravy this is a hard pass.

American Factory (August 14)
In May 2018 the Obamas signed with Netflix. Their first project is American Factory. Not particularly interesting, yeah? August 21 if you’re interested.

They’re currently adapting of Michael Lewis’ The Fifth Risk (Lewis is a #GOAT!) so for that I’m down like I’m brown.

Sammy Verdict: Maybe another time; I could be wrong this doc is fascinating. Or I could be right.

Better Than Us (August 14)
Been waiting for this one! Netflix’s first Russian tv show: Better Than Us!

“A family on the brink of splitting up become the owners of a cutting-edge robot being sought by a corporation, homicide investigators and terrorists.”

Sammy Verdict: Oh Yes.

Last Christmas (August 14)
I adore being single…it means I don’t hafta sit through the Last Christmas movie.

Sammy Verdict: I’ll be at Good Boys thanks Hollywood. Let’s smoke cigars.
