At lunch and the child at the table beside me is passionately extolling the virtues of The Flash.

His mom interrupts to clarify Flash’s superpowers: “what does The Flash do again?” (I don’t know how you don’t feel dumb saying that out loud.)

His “OH MOOOM!” is the same deep exasperation I had growing up trying to explain to my immigrant parents comic books and who these mighty marvelous superheroes are.

My parents were foreigners in a pre-Marvel movie society so their ignorance was understandable…but in this dynamic Google era with all these movies and tv shows…what mom’s excuse is…I’m with the kid on this one.

Keep up the sarcastic good work Little One.
