The whole “last straw” movement was so weird in the first place…I dunno how it got traction.

The legit environmental issue before straws became chic was the toxicity of cigarette butts which are the most common form of sea litter.

Especially in less developed countries those butts cause fish and sea life so many problems. (Though if we’re being honest butts cause all of us so many problems…)
