I can admit without shame I cried during Conan’s final Tonight Show episode.

Just like when Johnny Carson retired back in the day. And I won’t return to The Tonight Show until Leno’s gone. I dunno if this is a break or a break-up.

The episode concluded with this “benediction…”
“All I ask of you is one thing: please don’t be cynical. I hate cynicism—it’s my least favorite quality and it doesn’t lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.”

I hope so Conan O’Brien…I really hope so.
