#SetTheVCR for Sunday December 16, 2018 to Saturday December 22, 2018

This week is bookended by the American Dream and the subtle darkness of capitalism. We start strong with Bruce Springsteen’s Netflix special (so worth seeing…his Broadway show is sublime) and then…conclude with a Suge Knight documentary. On the surface it appears like Suge and Bruce are 2 different individuals but really they’re just trying to survive as best as they know how. America ain’t easy.

Sunday, December 16
Springsteen on Broadway Netflix

Monday, December 17
The docu-series/sci-fi mashup Mars ends its second season (9 p.m.) National Geographic Channel

Still haven’t seen this…it’s a get around to show.

Tuesday, December 18
Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable Netflix

I’m curious if Ellen DeGeneres can successfully come back to comedy: earlier this year Adam Sandler killed it with 100% Fresh (that sure lived up to its name!).

Wednesday, December 19
Whole lotta nothing going on.

Thursday, December 20
Time to play PVR Slot Machine…come on give me something good!

Friday, December 21
Marvel’s Runaways: Season 2 Hulu
3 Below: Tales of Arcadia Netflix
Bird Box Netflix
Last Hope Netflix
Sirius the Jaeger Netflix
7 Days Out Netflix
American Dream/American Knightmare (8:30 p.m.) Showtime

American Dream/American Knightmare is a Suge Knight documentary directed by Antoine Fuqua! His life proves there is more than 1 way to shape pop culture. Can’t wait for this:

Saturday, December 22
I dunno…maybe start Christmas shopping?
