Last night I had the sublime opportunity to hang out with a number of prominent magicians!! (One of em was Johnny Carson’s favourite magician…I’d never met anybody who met Carson so that was fascinating).

One of the things they all had in common…they complained about our Canadian money.

The plastic-paper we use for our bills doesn’t lend itself to magic tricks. For all the times and ways we think about money…the stress money gives us I never thought about magicians and how something as simple as a bill change impacts their life. You can’t rip it; people can’t write on it even with a Sharpie. It impacts all kinds of tricks.

I’ve grown now and I am a better man.
