That distinct disappointment…

when the opening notes really turn into Jingle Bells and it’s not that refined Christmas classic: “Batman smells/Robin laid an egg/Batmobile lost a wheel” is the holiday version of hearing the beginning of Under Pressure and dealing with that subtle sadness that it’s not Vanilla Ice (this one time).
