Hillary’s Crooked Path To The White House

Neal Brennan has that fantastic line/observation: “The main reason black people like Hillary is because she dresses like Steve Harvey.” Hah! Amazing. I find some of her outfits are also Doctor Evil-ish. Kinda fitting I suppose…tonight Neal and I were right.

Hillary’s clearly qualified for the Prez gig for true but during tonight’s debate her arrogance is off-putting…she came across in like a resentful school librarian that keeps her glasses on the edge of her nose and is all kinds of annoyed when you check out popular mainstream trash like Stephen King instead of “literature.”

It’s far too late to make her palatable; she is who she is. Unfortunately nights like tonight only cement her apt arrogance label. Qualifications aside that she’s not Donald Trump is her other main claim to fame but not exactly worth a vote.

It’s great (and necessary) to disagree with me, go for it: skepticism is healthier than consensus. Some of your points will be valid; others not so much. 2016 is an election of compromise and mediocrity: it’s gonna be a wretched 4 years no matter who gets in come November.

My sympathies are with the people who don’t want to vote. It feels like everybody is determined to make this a life or death choice. Trump is Doom! Hillary is Doom!

If you’re getting hassled for not voting (and I’ve a lot of American friends and family who understandably cannot support either candidate) read pages 215 and 216 of Chuck Klosterman’s new book But What If We’re Wrong? Chuck offers excellent rebuttals against the typical nonsense and guilt people try to inflict…every vote counts, civic duty, you can’t complain etc. Whole book is solid but those 2 pages in particular: “Believing your one vote makes a manful difference reflects unfathomable egotism.” Though in this election that egotism is no different than either candidate.
