Goodbye Muhammad Ali

I saw this iconic image as a kid…I dunno where or how. Instantly I recognized this wasn’t a fight: this was a lifestyle.

This image is a signup sheet tacked up on a bulletin board with that pen dangling beside it…shortly after that I started reading Batman.

And I couldn’t understand why when the citizens of Gotham would look up in the night sky and see that Bat-logo blazed into the dark clouds only 1 man would respond.

Fights are for individuals; they’re never as universal as victories.
